He was born on the 3rd of May, 1996 in Lagos Nigeria but moved to England with his family at the age of four. He is Jay-Jay Okocha's nephew and that should show you that football in in his blood. He is also “best mates” with Tyrell Robinson, the former Arsenal teammate.

Iwobi's Football Career

He joined Arsenal football club while still in primary school, however was involved in a first football match as an unused substitute in the on the 25th of September, 2013, in a League Cup match against West Bromwich Albion.
In the year 2015, he signed a long term deal with Arsenal. On the 27th of October, 2015, he made a first-team debut for Arsenal, which ended in a 3-0 defeat to Sheffield and that was the Round 16 of the League Cup. Four days later he helped make a 3-0 win against Swansea City at Liberty Stadium as a substitute for Mesut Özil.
He then made his Champions League debut in a 5-1 defeat against the club, Bayern Munich as an 85th minute substitute.
After the defeat, he started in the first team 3rd and 4th round home wins against Sunderland and Burnley, for the 2015–16 FA.
He also scored two goals in his first two Premier League games against Watford and Everton.
After that season, he changed his squad number to 17 from 45. This was after Alexis Sánchez took over the newly vacated number from Tomáš Rosický.
He also featured throughout the 2016–17 FA Cup campaign. He achieved more succcess with Arsenal in the year 2017, after they beat Chealsea.
On 8th of August 2019, Everton agreed a deal to sign Alex Iwobi for a fee in the region of £35-40m according to BBC Reporter David Ornstein.
