Manual configuration Settings For Airtel, Etisalet, Glo and MTN
Yesterday I got a new phone at Owerri and wanted to access the internet but it wan't connecting. After all set and done, I had to take it to my friend who was a tech savvy and he helped me set up the phone.
He used a manual configuration to set up the phone and I know many people might be having similar issues, so I'll share the tips today.


Manual configuration Settings For Airtel

If you are an Aitel user, you can manually configure your new device by following the steps below:
Go to settings

Mobile Network

Access point names
Then fill in the folowing
Account Name: AIRTEL
Homepage → http://wap.ng.airtel.com
Username → Internet
Password → Internet
Access Point or APN → internet.ng.zain.com or internet.ng.airtel.com
IP or Proxy Address → 172.018.254.005
Port → 8080

Alternatively, you can use the automatic configuration:

Just SMS Internet followed by Phone Make and Model to 232
e-g SMS Internet Tecno Camon X to 232

Manual configuration Settings For Etisalet

Account Name: ETISALAT
Homepage → http://mobile.etisalat.com.ng OR http://www.etisalat.com.ng
Access Point → etisalat
IP →  010.071.170.005
IP or Proxy Address → 8080
Username And Password → Empty.

Alternatively, you can use the automatic configuration:

The manual configuration is easy, just send SETTINGS to 229 and your configuration settings will be sent to you via SMS from Etisalat.
Then save the message and activate as default settings.

Manual configuration Settings For Glo

To manually configure your Glo (Globacom) line, simply use the settings below:
Configure your Glo line with the following settings
Account Name: GLO
Homepage →  http://wap.gloworld.com
Username → wap
Password → wap
Access Point or APN → glosecure
IP or Proxy Address → 010.100.098.022
Port → 8080

Alternatively, you can use the automatic configuration:

Send PHONE MODEL to 927 
e.g Tecno Camon X to 927

Manual configuration Settings For MTN

Account Name → MTN GPRS
IP Address → 10.199.212.2
Port → 9201 (for WAP) or 8080 (for HTML)
Username → web
Password → web
Access Point Name (APN) → web.gprs.mtnnigeria.net

Alternatively, you can use the automatic configuration:

To automatic configure your MTN line, simply SMS SETTINGS to 3888 and your configuration settings will be sent automatically.
