He hails from Edo State, Nigeria and was born into a family of nine. He had his early education and life in Edo State, then completed with a degree in Social Work and Administration from the University of Jos, Plateau State.Having tried different genres of music, the gospel music finally brought him into limelight. Joe Praize officially started singing 2005, but gained popularity in the year 2007 after releasing his hit single, 'Great and Mighty God'. He however released his first album in the year 2009. Joe Praize is a member of the Chirst Embassy choir, of which other top gospel artists like Sinach, Frank Edwards and Ada are also members.
