Robert Alai is a renowned Kenyan blogger, entrepreneur and cyber-activist, popularly known by many for being controversial. He is the founder of Kazi Africa Limited, an online company focused on connecting job seekers to employees. The company was later acquired by a foreign firm for an undisclosed amount of money.

Robert Alai Biography, Early Life and Educational Background
Robert Alai was born on the 11th of November, 1979 into a polygamous home. His dad worked as an assistant education officer.Upon completing his secondary education, Robert Alai came to Nairobi to make a living, He secured admission to study Information Technology at the Africa Virtual University. He also obtained a diploma in Information Management System from the Kenya School of Monetary Studies.
Career
Robert Alai started his professional career as an intern at Telkom Kenya. Upon moving to Tanzania, he got a job with the UN Mission in Congo as a logistics officer.Alai through his job learnt the power of the internet. He started an online company called Kazi Africa Limited. The company which is focused on connecting job seekers to employees was later acquired by a foreign firm for an undisclosed amount of money.
He launched another one, My African Career which he also sold. He also began a tech blog. In 2007, he returned back to Kenya during the elections period and used his online platform to update and communicate with Kenyans.
Robert Alai's work has landed him in trouble severally. He has been arrested and sued by big people in the country. In 2019, he was arrested in Nairobi for sharing gory photos of police officers who were killed by an IED attack in Wajir. He was detained for over 2 weeks.
Robert Alai is happily married with children.
