He worked as a producer, director (or both) in hundreds of movies during his career in the Nollywood industry. He has within a 5-year period, directed over 80 movies, with each one being shot in as little as three days. His skills earned him the nickname Mr. Prolific, which means plentiful.

Chico Ejiro Biography and Educational Background

Chico Ejiro was born Chico Maziakpono in Isoko, Delta, Nigeria. He has two brothers, Peter Red Ejiro and Zeb Ejiro, both are also popular movie producers.
The late Ejiro holds a diploma in Agriculture from the Obafemi Awolowo University and degree from the Federal University of Agriculture, Umudike.

Entertainment Career

Chico Ejiro was drawn into video production because Nigerians would not buy blank video cassettes. He owned a production company called Grand Touch Pictures, which is based in Lagos

Nicknamed Mr. Prolific, Chico Ejiro directed over 80 movies within a 5-year period—each one shot in as little as three days.

He was featured in the 2007 documentary 'Welcome to Nollywood', which followed him as he made Family Affair 1 and Family Affair 2.

He died in the early hours of Christmas day on December 25, 2020. He is survived by his wife, Joy and four children.
