Kiki Mordi was born on the 12th of August, 1991 in Port Harcourt the capital and largest city of Rivers State, Nigeria. After completing her primary and secondary education in Rivers State, she gained admission to study Medicine and Surgery but later dropped out due to sexual harassment from a certain lecturer.

Career

In 2015, Kiki Mordi began her career as media personality at KU Television and Radio, Benin City, where she worked as a radio presenter. 

In 2017, she was made the Head of Presenting at Women Radio (91.7FM), Lagos. The same year, she began an online petition to stop the extortion and exploitation of youths by policemen. She started this petition after some Nigerian policemen invaded her home and accused her and boyfriend of being cultists.

Mordi is currently working as a BBC Africa Eye reporter. In November 2019, she became a freelance podcast producer for Audiation, Incorporated Freelance, Yaoundé.

In 2019, she produced a documentary film Life at the Bay in Lagos, Nigeria. The film tells the story of the inhabitants of Tarkwa Bay and the survival and struggles of their women.

On October 2019, Kiki Mordi and her team at the BBC Africa Eye released a 13-minute documentary exposing sexual harassment of students by lecturers in University of Lagos and University of Ghana. The documentary implicated different lectures in top Ghanaian and Nigerian higher institutions who were allegedly involved in giving student's grades for sex.
