Elizabeth Omowunmi Tekovi Da-Silva was born on the 10th of June, 1978 in Lagos State, Nigeria. She was born into a polygamous Togolese family but spent most of her childhood in Obalende area of Lagos State.

Upon completing her primary education at Girls Modern Academy, she enrolled at the Ireti Grammar School for her secondary school education. She further gained admission to the prestigious Lagos State University (LASU), where she graduated with a degree in Marketing.

Entertainment Career

Liz Da-Silva started getting attracted to the Nigerian movie industry whilst in secondary school. Then, she was very active in school plays. She debuted as an actress in 2004 through the help of Iyabo Ojo, another top Nigerian film actress and producer.

She started gaining recognition after starring in two movies, 'Omidan' by Iyabo Ojo and 'Wakati Meta' by Wale Lawal.

In 2012, Da-Silva debuted as a movie producer with a movie titled 'Mama Insurance'. The movie featured top stars like Ronke Ojo, Ayo Mogaji, Doris Simeon, Lanre Hassan and Iyabo Ojo.

Personal Life

Liz Da-Silva is not married yet, but she has a son named Abdulroheem Olasunkanmi. Her alleged baby father is Yemi Olaoye. In 2013, Da-Silva changed her name to Aisha Olaoye shortly before the baby was christened because of Yemi Olaoye's religion. She also converted from Christianity to Islam the same year.
