Ubong King was born on the 22nd of August, 1972 in Lagos State, Nigeria. After completing his primary education, he enrolled at the Federal Government College Lagos, where he obtained his Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE).

He further gained admission to study at the prestigious University of Calabar, graduating with a bachelor's degree in Agriculture.

Career

Ubong King began his career as a volunteer guard in the protocol department of the church he was attending at the time.

He also worked as a consultant in a piggery before venturing into the security industry where he started the Protection Plus Security Limited.

As a motivational speaker, King has spoked at top leadership and management retreats within and outside Nigeria.

He was the president of the Ubong King Foundation, a non-profit, non-governmental organisation targeted at training young people towards leadership. In 2918, his foundation convened the maiden edition of 'Thinkation'- a platform to encourage productivity among the youth demography in Nigeria.

Ubong King also served as the chairman of The American Society of Industrial Security (ASIS) International Chapter 206, Lagos Nigeria.

He was reported dead in the early hours of December 26th, 2020 after testing positive to COVID-19.

Personal Life

Ubong King was married to Amb. (Mrs.). Unyime Ivy-King and the union was blessed with four lovely children. Unyime Ivy-King is the Executive Director of the Save Our Women and Girls Foundation (SOW&G).
