Zari Hassan Biography and Educational Background
Zari Hassan was born on the 23rd of September, 1980 in Uganda. She is of mixed heritage; her maternal grandfather is Indian, while her grandmother is Ugandan. Her paternal grandfather, on the other hand, is a Somalian, while the grandmother comes from Burundi.Growing up, Hassan discovered my music talents at a very early age. She started singing during her primary school and at a point, even performed in her school's end year function. She also used to perform in competitions and musical talents, most of which were organised by the staff in her school.
Upon obtaining her First School Leaving Certificate, she enrolled at the Jinja Girls High School for her secondary education. She also continued with her talent in secondary. She was a member of the music, drama, and dance groups and her talent earned her the award for the best actress in two consecutive years.
After her high school education, Zari Hassan mode to Kampala the capital of Uganda where she made money by performing karaoke in different hangouts.
At a point, she took a break from music to complete her academic pursuit. She moved to London where she earned her diploma in cosmetology. She didn't spend much time in London as she later came back to Uganda to focus on building her business empire while pursuing her musical career.

The song was very successful and even earned her a nomination as the Best East African Video of the Year in the Africa Channel O awards.Asides from entertainment, Hassan is also a successful entrepreneur with most of her investments in South Africa. She owns a cosmetic shop and a tertiary college.
Personal Life
Zari Hassan was married to the late Ugandan-born South African socialite, Ivan Semwanga. The couple had three boys together before divorcing in 2013. Semwanga died in May 2017 after suffering a heart attack.After the divorce, Zari Hassan entered into another relationship with Farouk Sempala, a Ugandan basketballer. The relationship didn't last, as Sempala accused Zari of aborting his children.
Few weeks after breaking up with Farouk Sempala, Zari was spotted with Diamond Platnumz and fans began speculating on a relationship going on between the both of them. They both denied the rumours while stating that they were working together on a music project. Till date, we're yet to see any music project, but good a thing, we saw another project.
While awaiting the music project, news broke out that The Boss Lady was expecting Diamonds child (Latifah Dangote - 6th August 2015). This was followed by another child, Prince Nillan (6th December 2016).
Zari Hassan also has three boys from her first marriage with the late Ivan Ssemwanga. The children are called Didy, Quincy, and Pinto. She also takes care of Ivan’s three other kids whom he had with his previous wife.
