• Central University College

Central University College was founded as a pastoral training institute by Mensa Otabil in 1988. In June 1991, it was known as the Central Bible College. It later became the Central Christian College in 1993 and eventually became the Central University College in 1998.

The institution attained the status of a fully-fledged University in 2016. It is currently the biggest private university in Ghana.

• Catholic Institute of Business and Technology (CIBT)

Catholic Institute of Business and Technology was established in 2007 under the auspices of the Catholic Archdiocese of Accra. The university is accredited by the National Accreditation Board and Affiliated to the University of Ghana.

The first batch of students graduated from the institution at the end of 2011/2012 academic year. Students in the institution are equipped with the necessary resources to help them respond effectively as leaders in Business, professional and civic life.

• Kings University Ghana (KUC)

Kings University Ghana was established in February 2009 and accredited by the National Accreditation Board (NAB) of Ghana in January 2010. It is institutionally affiliated to the University of Cape Coast, Ghana and in collaboration with the Liaoning University, China.

The institution, which prides itself as one of the most sought after private universities in Ghana offers 27 undergraduate and postgraduate academic programmes.
KUC has one school and three faculties, namely; Kings Business School, Faculty of Business Administration, Faculty of Law, Governance and International Relations and Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering.

• Regent University of Science and Technology

Regent University of Science and Technology was registered in September 2003, and received accreditation to operate as a tertiary institution in 2004. Regent-Ghana is no doubt, one of the best Ghanain universities. It was ranked the third best university in Ghana in the 14th edition of the Webometrics Ranking of World Universities.

The University College has four schools - the School of Business. Leadership and Legal Studies (SBLL), the Faculty of Arts and Sciences : the Faculty of Engineering, Computing and Allied Sciences (FECAS), and the School of Research and Graduate Studies (SRGS).

• Valley View University

Valley View University was established in 1979 by the West African Union Mission of Seventh-day Adventists (now Ghana Union Conference). It is a part of the Seventh-day Adventist education system, the world's second largest Christian school system.

The university has campuses located at Oyibi (Accra), Kumasi and Techiman (Sunyani) respectively in the Greater Accra, Ashanti and Bono East regions of Ghana.

• Sikkim Manipal University, Ghana Learning Centre, Accra
Sikkim Manipal University was established in 2007 by KnowledgeWorkz Ltd - Ghana as Ghana's maiden Authorized Study centre of Sikkim Manipal University, India. SMU is recognized by the University Grants Commission and approved by the Government of India.

It offers bachelor's and master's degrees programs in the following departments:
  - Department of IT (Information Technology)

• All Nations University College

All Nations University was founded by Rev. Dr. Samuel Donkor in 1996 and became an accredited university college in Ghana in October 2002. On May 28, 2020 it was granted a presidential charter by the President of Ghana.

All Nations offers undergraduate programmes in Human Resource Management, Computer Science (Hons.), Computer Engineering, Communications Engineering, Electronics, Accounting and Marketing, Biomedical Engineering, Oil and Gas Engineering, Entrepreneurship amongst others.

• Zenith University College

Zenith University College was established in December 2001. It was a tutorial college for some foreign universities, until November 2005 when it got accredited to offer diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Ghana.

Zenith University College offers a range of undergraduate Bachelor’s degree programs aimed at preparing students for careers in Business, Law, and IT.

Pentecost University College was founded by The Church of Pentecost (COP). On May 22, 2003, His Excellency J. A. Kufuor, the former President of Ghana, inaugurated PUC at the Sowutuom campus.

Currently, the University has four Faculties namely, Faculty of Engineering, Science and Computing (FESAC), Faculty of Business Administration (FBA), Faculty of Theology and Mission (FTM) and Faculty of Health and Allied Sciences (FHAS).

• Ghana Communication Technology University (GCTU)

Ghana Communication Technology University (GCTU) was established in November 2005, granted accreditation by the National Accreditation Board (NAB) on March 30, 2006 and officially inaugurated on August 15, 2006.

It offers world class Certificate, Diploma and Degree programme under three core faculties: the Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Computing and Information Systems and Faculty of IT Business.
