Yinka Akinbami Biography and Educational Background

Yinka Akinbami was born on the 9th of October, 1959 in Lagos State, Nigeria. After completing hid primary education, he enrolled at Baptist Academy, Lagos for his SSCE.
He holds a bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from the prestigious University of Ife, Ile-Ife, (Now OAU). He also obtained a Master's Degree and PhD in Chemical Technology from the University of Manchester, England

Career

Yinka Akinbami served in the oil & gas industry, the UK in 1985. He gained significant exposure to best industry practices that led him to incorporate Teknochem Nigeria Ltd, an indigenous endeavour, developing chemical products and detergents among other petrochemical products, since 1989.

He also served as the Technical Director for Lyn Oil, where he became the first indigenous blender of lubricants.

In 2001, Dr. Akinbami, doubled as consultant and Vice President, Zenon Petroleum & Gas Ltd where he formulated and developed Zenon lubricants. 

He served as a pastor at House on the Rock for over 25 years, he also served as Family Life Directorate, where he coached men and women as they embark on building families.

Personal Life

Pastor Yinka Akinbami got married to his wife, Pastor Tolu Akinbami in 1986. The union was blessed with children and grandchildren.
He reportedly died on the 1st of January 2021, after battling COVID-19.
