Kwadwo Asamoah is a popular Ghanaian professional footballer who plays for the Ghana national team and for Italian Serie A club Cagliari.

He started his football career in 2008 with Italian club Udinese, and in 2012, got transferred to Juventus F.C. He further joined Inter Milan, playing until 2020 when he mutually parted ways.  He is currently signed to Cagliari. At the international level, he has represented Ghana in four Africa Cup of Nations tournaments, and two FIFA World Cups.

Kwadwo Asamoah Biography and Career

Kwadwo Asamoah was born on the 9th of December, 1988 in Kumasi, Ghana to the family of Emmanuel Kwesi Asamoah. He started playing with a locally based club which belongs to Kamara and was recommended by the scout Mr Charles Mensah Gapson to the late Liberty Professionals President, Alhaji Sly Tetteh.

In 2008, he joined Serie A club Udinese where he established himself and became a linchpin for both the club and country. 

After some good performances at the 2010 World Cup and Africa Cup of Nations, he became a target of top clubs in Europe. In 2011, he was voted the Most Promising Talent on the continent by its international coaches.

In July 2012, Asamoah and Udinese teammate Mauricio Isla both joined Juventus on co-ownership agreements, with Juventus paying €9 million for 50% of Asamoah's contract. He debuted on 11th August 2012 in the 2012 Supercoppa Italiana, scoring a goal as Juventus went on to win 4–2 after extra time. In June 2013, he was brought outright by Juventus, signing a four-year deal with the club.

In six seasons in Turin, he won 13 trophies, featuring 156 times and scoring five goals in Serie A, the Coppa Italia, Supercoppa Italiana, Champions League and Europa League, bringing a valuable mix of versatility and reliability.

In July 2018, Kwadwo Asamoah got signed to Inter Milan in a contract that was agreed to run from 1st July 2018 to 30th June 2021. He made his Inter debut on 19 August, in a 1–0 away defeat to Sassuolo, the first match of the 2018–19 Serie A season.

On 3rd February 2021, Kwadwo Asamoah signed to Cagliari a contract until 30 June 2021.
