Ossy Prestige was born on the 24th of January, 1965 and he originally hails from Abiriba in Ohafia L.G.A. After completing his primary and secondary education, he secured an admission to study at the Abia State University (ABSU), graduating with a B.Sc degree in Government and Public Administration.He also holds an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Public Administration from Commonwealth University in Belize, South America and MBA in Shipping and Logistics from the Lloyds Maritime Academy London, United Kingdom, amongst other academic qualifications.

Hon. Rtn Prestige Chinedu Ossy was until his death, the House of Representatives member representing Aba North/South, Abia State. He was elected in 2015 on the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
Apart from his political career, Hon. Ossy was also a successful businessman. He was a seasoned Customs Broker, Maritime Services Provider, Shipping Consultant and Importer of diverse Merchandise, with businesses spanning across different sectors of the Nigerian economy.
He was the Treasurer of the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA), Onne Sea Port Chapter, 2002, its Secretary 2003 – 2008 and Chairman 2008 – 2014. He is the 1st Deputy President of the Aba Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA).
