Biodun Sofuyi Okeowo was born on the 26th of December, 1971. She is the last child in a polygamous family of five children and originally hails from Remo in Ogun State. Her Dad was also an actor during his time. He was a member of the Awada theatre group and performed with the likes of Jide Kosoko.Biodun had her primary education at Onayade Primary School. After obtaining her First School leaving Certificate, she enrolled at Jibowu High School for her secondary education. She also holds a bachelor's degree in Communication Art from the prestigious Lagos State University (LASU).
Her days at the university weren't that rosy, especially after she got pregnant for her first child. She had to fry chinchin and doughnuts, which she supplied to retailers on campus. She also sold rice in front of her mother's shop in days when she had no lectures.
Entertainment Career
Biodun Sofuyi Okeowo is no doubt, one of the hottest and most talented Nollywood actresses. She was an intern at LTV 8, where learnt a lot about journalism. At a point in the line, she developed a passion for acting and decided to go further into the Nollywood industry.
She joined the Nigerian entertainment industry in 2006, after her industrial training at the Lagos State Television Office, Agidingbi. Things weren't really fine in her early days in Nollywood as she couldn't afford to wear the expensive clothes her mates were wearing.
Even when Biodun produced her first movie 'Tolani Osinrin' in 2007, things were very tough for her. In fact, at a point, she was being called diss names like 'Biodun oni cut and sew' and 'Tolani Alankara'.
