Lota Chukwu Biography and Educational Background

Lota Chukwu was born on the 29th of November, 1989 in Nsukka, Enugu State, Nigeria but she spent most of her childhood in Benin City. She is the last child in a family of four children.

Lota had her primary and secondary education at Edo State, Nigeria. After obtaining her SSCE, she gained admission to study at the prestigious University of Benin, graduating with a degree in Agricultural Economics and Extension Service. She also holds a certificate in Acting from the Royal Arts Academy in Lagos, Nigeria.

Entertainment Career

Lota Chukwu began her entertainment career as a model. She represented Yobe State in the 2011 edition of Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria.

Lota debuted as an actress with a movie titled 'Studio 113'. Since then, she has been featured in a good number of Nollywood movies, including 'Fine Girl', 'Iyore', 'Wind Chasers', 'Spotlight' and 'The Perfect Plan'.

She, however, started gaining media attention after auditioning and subsequently, getting selected for the TV series 'Jenifa’s Diary', where she got a chance to play Kiki. 

In 2017, Lota, alongside Odunlade Adekola was featured in the official video of Reminisce's 'Ponmile'. The video was directed by Clarence Peters. The same year, she was also featured in the official video of Aramide's song, 'Why So Serious'. 

In November 2017, Lota Chukwu announced the take-off of her food show 'Lota Takes', a cooking and lifestyle show which shows Lota in her elements as a food and nature lover. The show has featured several Nigerian celebrities including Aramide, Adekunle Gold, MC Galaxy and Tosin Ajibade.
