Prince Shaka Momoh

Prince Shaka Momoh was a Nigerian entrepreneur and owner of the popular Planet One Hospitality Company Limited. He reportedly died on the 14th of January, 2020 at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH). While we're yet to get information on the official source of his death, some sources have claimed that he died of diabetes, while others reported that he died of COVID-10 complications.

Prince Shaka Momoh was an accomplished industrialist with a vision to transform lives by leveraging on commerce, education and evangelical outreach.

He began pursuing his passion roughly after 24 years of graduating in business administration from Auchi polytechnic. He was able to establish several businesses with the view of setting up his commercial empire as the foundation that would drive his vision and mission.

Hospitality Warehouse: A hospitality products wholesale company.
Basic Information and Communications System Limited (BICS): a technology and ICT solutions company that offers e-Government Solution, CRM, HRM, Outsourcing and Education & Training Solutions. The company boasts of international partnership with AYA Technologies AG (Switzerland), CustomerSoft (USA), Knovada (USA) and NIIT (India) to provide such global solutions with the local address.

Philanthropy

Prince Shaka Momoh established the Baobab Foundation as a way of giving back to the public. The foundation is focused on supporting the least privileged in society by providing scholarship programs.

Awards and Recognition

Prince Shaka Momoh's good works have earned him several awards, both in Nigeria and beyond, including;
• Member – Nigerian/American Chamber of Commerce
• Member – Nigerian/German Chamber of Commerce
• Merit Award - by the Californian State (USA) Senate and House of Representative (1997)
• CBN Entrepreneurial Awards for the year 2009.

Prince Shaka Momoh Death

The news of Prince Shaka Momoh's death was announced on the 14th of January, 2021. He reportedly died from COVID-10 complications (some sources claim he died of Diabetes) at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH).

He is survived by his wife and children.
