Born in 1980, Abdulrasheed Bawa originally hails from Jega local government area of Kebbi State. He had his primary education at Model Primary School Birnin-Kebbi Road, Sokoto, obtaining his primary school certificate in 1991. He further enrolled at the Government Secondary School, Owerri.He also holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics (2001) and a Masters in International Affairs and Diplomacy (2012) from the prestigious Usmanu Danfodio University in Sokoto.

• Supervising the investigation of all the cases for the Ibadan Zonal office in which 113 were concluded and 54 charged to court within 6 months• He is the head of EFCC team investigating former Minister of Petroleum Resources Diezani Alison-Madueke and associates (October 2015 till date), properties worth millions of dollars were reportedly recovered from Mrs Diezani in Nigeria, UK., USA, and UAE including 92 properties in Nigeria.
• Atlantic Energy Group (2014-2015). Recovered millions of dollars worth of properties in Nigeria, USA, Canada, UK, UAE and Switzerland.
• He identified fraud of about ₦70 billion in the petroleum subsidy fraud (2012-2015), recovering billions of Naira and prosecuting several companies.
• He also recovered billions of Naira in the Crude Oil Swaps and OPA (2014-2015), among others.

Abdulrasheed Bawa is a recipient of the:• US Federal Bureau of Investigation (Criminal Investigative Division) Appreciation (2019). This was in recognition of his support and contribution in FBI’s Operation reWired, a monthslong, multi-agency effort to disrupt and dismantle international business email compromise (BEC) schemes.
