Gabriel Afolayan was born on the 1st of March 1985. His father, Adeyemi Afolayan (aka Ade Love) was also very influential in the Nigerian film industry. He was a popular actor, producer and director.

Gabriel, though originally from Agbamu, Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara State, was raised in Ibadan, the capital city of Oyo State, Nigeria, where he also had his primary, secondary and tertiary education.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts from the prestigious University of Ibadan (U.I) and another certificate from the Identity School of Acting in London.

Entertainment Career

Gabriel Afolayan began his acting career in 1990 with the movie 'F Opawon' by Baba Sala. He, however, came to the limelight after starring in Tade Ogidan's 'Madam Dearest' and the popular TV series – 'Super Story'. He played the role of Akin in the 'Super Story' Series titled 'NNENNA'.

In addition to acting, Afolayan is also a talented singer. His music career begun in 1997 when he joined the Phoenix Studio, Ibadan as a backup singer. As a musician, he is known mostly for 'Kokoro Ife' and 'Awelewa'.
