Frederick Leonard was born on the 1st May of 1976 in Anambra State, Nigeria. He is the first child in a family of two children. Leonard received his primary education in St Peter’s Anglican Primary School, Alausa, Ikeja In Lagos State.After obtaining his First School Leaving Certificate, he enrolled at Oregun High School in Oregun, Ikeja In Lagos State also for secondary education. He thereafter, secured admission to study at Kaduna Polytechnic, where he graduated with a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Biochemistry.
Entertainment Career
Frederick Leonard joined the Nollywood industry in 2001 and starred in a few movies, before taking a break to complete his education. Upon completing his studies, he returned to the industry in 2008 and got featured in his first-ever lead role character in a movie titled 'Indian Doctor'.
In 2009, Leonard started featuring in a TV series titled 'Disclosure'. The Nigerian TV soap opera series which aired predominantly on Africa Magic on DSTV helped shoot him to the limelight.
In 2019, Leonard debuted as a producer with a movie titled 'Grey'. He subsequently produced another movie, 'Void'. 'Void' stars Fredrick Leonard and Lota Chukwu as Tonna and Tina; a happy couple whose relationship is threatened by the presence of Tonna’s late wife, Mirabel. Tonna proposes to Tina and she accepts joyfully but like in many moments in the film, their happiness is cut short by the looming presence of Mirabel.
