Babatunde Omidina (Baba Suwe) Biography and Educational Background

Babatunde Omidina was born on the 22nd of August, 1958 in Lagos Island but he hails from Ikorodu local government area of Lagos State. He began his primary education at Jamaitul Islamial Primary School, but completed it at Children Boarding School, Osogbo.

Thereafter, he enrolled at Adekanbi Commercial High School in Mile 12 for his secondary education, later switching to Ifeoluwa Grammar School, Osogbo from where he obtained his West African School Certificate.
Entertainment Career
Baba Suwe joined the acting industry in 1971 but came into the limelight after starring in 'Omolasan', a movie produced by Obalende. In 1997, he featured in 'Iru Esin', a movie that further helped in increasing his fan base.

He has over the years featured in several Nollywood movies, working with A-list actors like Funke Akindele and Femi Adebayo.

In 2011, he was accused of cocaine trafficking by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), an allegation that was described as false and defamatory by the ruling of the Lagos high court of law.

Baba Suwe died on 22 November 2021. The news was confirmed by his child Adesola Omidina via Instagram.
