Daniel K Daniel Biography and Educational Background
Daniel Kanayo Daniel was born on the 22nd of May, 1986 to the family of Chris Daniel and Kande Daniel. His father was an engineer and his mother Kande Daniel is a Broadcast Journalist and former National President of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists. She is currently serving as Special Adviser to the Nigerian Minister of Power on Media Matters.
Though born at the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital, Maiduguri, Borno State, Daniel relocated with his family to Lagos State at a very early age, then to Enugu State, where he began his formal education.
He had his primary education at Command Children School, after which he proceeded to Command Day Secondary School Enugu for his secondary education. After a few years, he transferred to Federal Government College Enugu, from where he obtained his SSCE.
Daniel K Daniel further secured admission to study at the prestigious Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UniZik), Awka, graduating in 2009 with a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Biochemistry.
Entertainment Career
Daniel K Daniel started his modelling career while he was still schooling at UniZik, doing a couple of Television commercials for Zandas Cosmetics. After his return to Abuja upon completing his education, he took part in a few runway shows including the Abuja Moroccan Fashion Show.
He began acting after he was dragged to a movie audition by Supermodel Steiner Eunice Opara after one of the fashion shows. The directors were impressed by the young Daniel's talent and landed him his first acting role in the TV series, 'All About Us'.
He subsequently got cast for a BBC movie titled 'Sarah’s Choice'. The movie was directed by Mak Kusare and featured other actors like Sylvia Oluchi, Seun Dada and OC Ukeje.
After Sarah’s Choice, Daniel landed another job in the Amstel Malta Box Office produced movie, 'The Child', where he took on the role of the antagonist. It was directed by Izu Ojukwu and featured other top actors like Alex Usifo, Joke Silva, Wole Ojo and Bukky Ajayi.
He subsequently gained the lead role in the Afam Okereke directed movie; 'Ladies' Men' starring Funke Akindele, Ruth Kadiri, Chigozie Atuanya, Mercy Johnson, Alexx Ekubo and Queen Nwokoye.
At the end of his National Youth Service in 2011, Daniel returned back to acting, starring in a number of movies including 'Mummy Dearest', 'Devil in Red', 'Body of the King', 'Tempest', 'Matchmaker', 'Jujuwood', 'Devil in Red', 'Book of Magic', 'Paint My Life', 'Bambitious', 'Lions of 76', 'Same Difference', amongst others.
He was also part of the cast in the BBC radio drama series – 'Neighbor My Neighbor' and 'Story Story'.

Daniel K Daniel got married to his longtime girlfriend, Teena, a beauty blogger from Nnewi, Anambra State, Nigeria. The union is blessed with a child, Deo Kaito Daniel.
