Di'ja is very fluent in the Hausa language and also very good in the Krio language. Her name, Di'ja is a combination of two words, Hadiza and Khadijah. She has a double degree in Psychology and Biology and she had been singing even before joining the Supreme Mavin Dynasty. She was signed the same day with Korede Bello and Reekado Banks.
She got influenced by the music and poetry of the likes of Tupac Shakur, Mia, Bob Marly, Tracy Champman and The Everly Brother.
She started her music career in the year 2002 but came into limelight after releasing her hit single, 'Awww'! I really love that song.
The song, together with the visuals which was directed by Unlimited L.A brought her home so many awards.
He first official song under the Mavin's crew was the song, 'Yaro' and it is an up-tempo love tune. It infuses both the Krio language and the Hausa language and was intended to be an acknowedgement for her Sierra Leone and Nigerian roots.
She had however released a few songs before joining the Supreme Mavins Dynasty, and some of them 'Dan’Iska (Rudebwoy)', 'How can we be friends' and 'Hold on (Ba Damuwa)'.
Ever since she came into limelight, Di'ja has been featured in a good number of the Mavin's collaborations such as 'Jantamata', 'Looku Looku', 'Adaobi' and 'Dorobucci'. The collaborations have also featured the likes of Don Jazzy, Dr Sid, Korede Bello, Reekado Banks, Tiwa Savage and D'Prince.
