Born on the 21st of March, 1994 as Azeez Fashola, the 'Am I A Yahoo Boy' crooner, Naira Marley grew up in the Agege area of Lagos State, Nigeria but moved to Peckham, South London at the age of 11.According to him, his stage name, 'Naira Marley' was inspired from the Jamaican legend, 'Bob Marley's name and you can see it to mean a kind of Nigerian Bob Marley...haha! They share a few similarities of course, talking about his hair and general looks. According to Naira Marley, he never wanted to do music right from time.
His major interest has always been to become a voice over artist and MC, and he used to pay for his friend's studio sessions in the UK. He always believed he didn't have a music talent but in 2014, his friend's persuaded him to hit to studio, and then he released his first song, 'Marry Juana' ft Max Twigz and it became a UK street jam.
