Born on the 19th of August, 1989, Runtown was born in Enugu State, Nigeria but grew up partly in Lagos State and the FCT.He had moved to Abuja with his mother who was working in the Ministry of Health after the death of his father.
Runtown released 'Gallardo' in the year 2014, as the first single off his debut studio album 'Ghetto University'.
The album was a very successful one and reportedly generated over ₦35 million. He released his hit track, 'Mad Over You' on the 4th of November, 2016 and it charted at number 38 on the Billboard Twitter Top Tracks chart.
His contract with the Eric Manny Entertainment expired in June 2018 and he subsequently started his own record label, Soundgod Music Group.
