Emmanuel Emenike Biography, Date Of Birth, Early Life, Family, Education And Career

Emmanuel Chinenye Emenike was born on the 10th of May, 1987 to Pa Felix Emenike Ndukwu in Otuocha, Aguleri, Anambra State. He started his football with the Delta Force football club Asaba, Delta State, Nigeria.
According to him, his days at the Delta Force weren't juicy as he had to walk on foot when going to training or returning. The journey usually took him more than an house and he wasn't getting paid at the club as it was non-professional and in a low division. The club also refused fundingss from the Delta State government.
Later he moved to South Africa and started playing for the Mpumalanga Black Aces as a professional footballer. Mpumalanga Black Aces was paying him then and also gave him a better exposure. He debuted against Dynamos F.C. on 17 February 2008 and scored his first goal with the team though his team lost the match 4 - 2.
Emmanuel joined the First Division team F.C. Cape Town in May 2008.
In 2009, he signed a one-year loan deal with Karabükspor and made his debut on the 23 August, 2009 in the opening game of the 1.Lig season. The game against Samsunspor ended in a 3–3 draw.
On May 25, 2011 he joined Fenerbahçe for an undisclosed fee, which many believed was around 9 million euros
On the 28th of July, 2011 he was sold to Spartak Moscow for €10 million but he never appeared in a competitive match for Fenerbahçe due to the match fixing scandal involving Fenerbahce and Emenike.
Emenike returned to the Fenerbahçe in August 2013 for a fee worth around €13m. He was thrilled with the movement back to Turkey and was quoted saying Fenerbahce had always been a dream for him.
While in Fenerbahçe he was loaned to Al Ain on the 11th of July, 2015 but he returned after six months. He was also loaned to West Ham United on the 31st of January, 2016 and he stayed with the club till the end of the season.
Emenike joined Greek champions Olympiacos on the 6th July, 2017 for a transfer fee of €3.8 million on a two-year deal. He made his debut appearance in the club on 25 July 2017, scoring the last minute goal that helped Olympiacos to a 3–1 victory against FK Partizan.

International Career

Emmanuel Emenike first represented the Nigeria national football team in a friendly match against Sierra Leone. He was called up to Nigeria's 23-man squad for the AFCON and on the 21st January 2013, he scored Nigeria's opening AFCON match against Burkina Faso. The match ended in a 1–1 draw.
His second goal was in the quarter final match between Nigeria and Côte d'Ivoire in which he scored the first goal. The match ended in a 2–1 with Nigeria winning.
Emenike was part of the 2013 AFCON and the thirst Nigerian team to win the AFCON. He scored four goals in the course of the tournament. However, he didn't participate in the finals because of a thigh injury.
On the 13th of October 2013, he scored twice in the  first-leg of last round of the World Cup qualifier against Ethiopia. The game ended in a 2-1 with Nigeria winning.
Emmanuel Emenike announced his retirement on the 20th of October, 2015.

Personal Life

Emmanuel Emenike is married to the Iheoma Nnadi and they have one daughter. Iheoma Nnadi contested and won the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria 2014. She also represented Nigeria in the Miss World 2014 contest.
