Samson Siasia was born on the 14th of August, 1967 in Lagos Nigeria. His father hails from Odoni Village in Sagbama Local Government Area of Bayelsa State. He grew up in Lagos, Nigeria and had his early education at the St. Finbarr’s College Akoka, Lagos.Football Career
Samson Siasia began his football career in Julius Berger FC in 1982 and played for 2 years before moving to the Flash Flamingoes. He has also played for other notable football clubs like Tirsense, Zafririm Holon, Lokeren, Nantes, Perth Glory and Al-Hilal.
Samson played a total of 51 international matches for Nigeria scoring thirteen goals. He was also part of the team that won the 1994 African Nations Cup and participated in the 1994 FIFA World Cup. He was also a member of the Nigerian team that won bronze at the African Nations Cup in Senegal in 1992.
