Born on the 8th of August, 1975, Hon. Ugwumba Uche Nwosu is a Nigerian politician, entrepreneur and motivational speaker.
He was born into the family of late Rev. Daniel Nwaobi Nwosu and Mrs. Jemaimah Nwosu of Umunwokwe, Eziama-Obaire, Nkwerre Local Government Area, Imo State.
Uche Nwosu had his early education at the Shehu Sanda Kerimi Primary School, Maiduguri and secondary at both the Government Secondary School, Gubia, Borno State and the Comprehensive Secondary School Eziama-Obaire, Nkwerre.
In 1995, Uche secured admission to study Urban and Regional Planning in Imo State University, and he graduated with a second class honours degree.

While at the Imo State University, he was active in the students politics and became the pioneering Director of Transport.
He eventually began to participate fully in politics and became the Special Assistant to the Governor, and eventually a commissioner. He was also appointed the Chief of Staff during the regime of his father-in-law, Sen. Rochas Ethelbert Okorocha.
On the 9th of March, 2019, Uche Nwosu contested for the Imo State gubernatorial seat under the Action Alliance (AA) Party and lost to Chukwuemeka Ihedioha who had ran under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). 
He polled a total of 190,364 votes as against a total of 273,404 votes by Emeka Ihedioha who was eventually declared the Governor-elect by the Independent Electoral Commission.

Uche Nwosu is married to the first daughter of his principal, Sen. Rochas Ethelbert Okorocha and they have three sons together.
