Bayelsa Elections: Protest Rocks As Thugs Force Electoral Officers To Abandon Duty Posts
Some residents of Opolo, in Yenagoa, the capital of Bayelsa State have taken to the streets to protest at the conduct of the governorship election in the state.
The protesters were spotted with different placards bearing all kinds of inscriptions, claiming that voting did not take place in the community and that hired thugs had been unleashing terror on all those trying to exercise their civic rights.

A member of the National Youth Service Corps was reported missing at a polling unit at Eribo Square
after armed hoodlums attacked the place.

The hoodlums who invaded the polling unit at 1:00pm, reportedly threatened the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officials and other persons around the premises.

Meanwhile, Seriake Dickson, the Executive Governor of Bayelsa has alleged that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is working with security agencies to hijack voting materials.
