
Among those spotted in the protest were his wife Opeyemi, children and other supporters. This is coming after recalcitrance of the Department of State Services (DSS) to release the convener of the #RevolutionNow movement despite court others.
Sowore has already spent over 115 days in detention, despite court ordering his release. Recently, the court threatened to jail DSS boss over his continued detention.
His wife, Opeyemi Sowore and other supporters on Tuesday, staged a rally, outside the office of U.S senator Bob Menedez, tying yellow ribbon on a trees while clamouring for Sowore’s freedom.
His wife, Opeyemi Sowore said: “I can’t explain to our children why their father isn’t here for thanksgiving. The children need their father, I need my husband. Communications have been extremely sparse”.
