#FarukVsShoprite: Twitter Users Call For Justice Over Copyright Infringement
Nigerians have taken to the popular micro-blogging platform, Twitter to protest on the alleged copyright infringement accusation levelled against Shoprite by one Mr Faruk Adamu.
According to the report, Abuja based Music producer, Faruk claimed Shoprite has refused to pay him his 60 percent right to a jingle he made for the company. 

Nigerians have therefore taken to their social media pages to make a case for Faruk using the hashtag #FarukVsShoprite.

Mr Faruk has also filed a $2 million lawsuit against the South African retail outlet. He said in a tweet that a Federal High Court in Abuja had finally assigned his suit (Suit No. FHC/ABJ/CS/808/2019) to court 4, before Hon. Justice A. R. Muhammed.
