Born on the 14th of January, 1978, TY Bello is a Nigerian singer, songwriter and photographer. She was a member of the now defunct gospel band Kush before splitting with them to become a solo artist.
TY Bello is best known for her singles Ekundayo, Greenland, This Man, Funmise and Freedom. She was born in Ogun State, Nigeria and has a degree in economics before practising journalism, and then moving into photography.
TY Bello came into limelight after becoming a member of the now defunct music group, KUSH (an acronym for Kinetically Ushering Salvation into Hearts and Homes).
Other members of the group included Lara George, rapper Emem Ema and Dapo Torimiro.
The group gained popularity in the early 2000s with their single, 'Let's Live Together' and managed to release an album before disbanding.

She was also the official photographer to former Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan during his tenure in office and does work for Thisday fashion magazine.
Toyin released her debut album, Greenland in 2008 and it was produced by Mosa Adegboye. The album reportedly took two years to develop.
She released her second album, The Future on the 19th of February, 2011 and it features cameo appearances from Tara Fela-Durotoye, Chude Jideonwo, Sound Sultan and Banky W.
Her third album, The Morning Songbook was released on the 10th of October, 2014 for free download on Soundcloud and comprises of 10 tracks.

TY Bello is currently based in Lagos State and got married to Kashetu Bello in the year 2009.
