Born on the 5th of August, 1964, Putco Mafani had for many years hosted the BEE (Breakfast EyondlayoEkseni) breakfast show. He began working with the popular breakfast show from 2010 when it had less than a million listeners and grew it over the years to over three million listeners. He would with his listeners, and in the process, this created a well-founded place for him.Mafani put a lot of energy and determination to help reach out to the station’s listeners, that he leaving the station was felt by all and sundry. The multi-talented radio presenter and DJ left the BEE station to open up the Putco Mafani new radio station that is broadcasted from East London, Eastern Cape province, the now Putco Mafani Rhythm FM. His station was first aired on July 2017.
Putco Mafani is currently working at the Rhythm FM, where he also serves as the station manager. The new station which was first awarded its radio licence in 2014 is a division of MSG Africa Group. MSG Africa also own two stations, Capricorn FM and Power FM in Gauteng in Limpopo.
Asides working as a radio presenter, Putco Mafani is also the CEO of Putco Mafani Consulting (PMC) firm, a firm he founded with his wife, Bongiwe Mafani.
