Dag Heward-Mills is a Ghanaian pastor, writer, public speaker and the founder/presiding bishop the United Denomination. He founded the Lighthouse Chapel International church in 1987, at a very early age of 24 and it has grown into one of the biggest African Christain denominations, with 3000 churches in more than 90 different countries worldwide.

Dag Heward-Mills Biography, Date Of Birth, Early Life, Family And Education
Dag Heward-Mills was born on the 14th of May, 1963 to the family of Nathaniel Heward-Mills and Elizabeth Heward-Mills. His mother originally hails from Switzerland while his father is a native of Gnana, but Dag was born in London, United Kingdom.He further gained admission to study Medicine and Surgery at the University of Ghana Medical School. Her started the Lighthouse Chapel International as a student in Medical school, having felt a strong call of God to start a church.
Religious Career
Dag Heward-Mills started the church in a little classroom in the School of Hygiene, Korle-Bu, with no more than 15 members. Despite his demanding academic works and persecutions in various forms, Heward-Mills saw his church grow until it now filled the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital Canteen.As the ministry steadily increased, larger and larger halls had to be used. In 1992, they acquired an old cinema hall within the Korle-Gonno area and mobilized its members to renovate the structure. The3 structure would later become the first of several Cathedrals with the city of Accra that Dag Heward-Mills would build.
The congregation recorded a rapid growth until finally, in 2006, Dag Heward-Mills commissioned the construction of one the largest church complexes in Africa; The Qodesh.
Bishop Dag Heward-Mills is founder of the National Association of Charismatic and Christian Churches and served as its chairman until August 2003. He is also the founder of the Ghana Charismatic Bishops Council Bishop and currently serves on the board of Directors of Church Growth International and the Pentecostal World Fellowship.

Personal Life
Dag Heward-Mills met his wife, Adelaide at the University of Ghana. Dag was a student of Medicine while Adelaide was in the Law faculty. The got married in 1990 after a few years of courtship.
