Born in Osun State, Nigeria on the 24th of March, 1993 as Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel, Mayorkun is one of Nigeria's presently trending music artists. His father, Dr. Adewala is a medical doctor, director and professional musician.Mayorkun's mother, Mrs. Toyin Adewale is also an entertainer, she is one of the big actresses Nollywood has. Mayorkun had his early education at the Living Spring Montessori and then proceesed to the High Grade College. After that he was admitted into the University of Lagos to study Accounting.
His music career started in the year 2013, with a debut single, 'Gbo'. He later recorded another single with a cousin's piano and shared it with the DMW boss, Davido on Twitter. He liked the song and messaged him. The rest is history!
