2019 UTME | JAMB Releases Withheld Results, Gives Official Statement
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) today announced the release of 4,536 previously withheld 2019 UTME results.
According to Dr Fabian Benjamin the JAMB's Head of Information, the results were previously withheld due to allegations of multiple infractions.
Recall that out of over 1.8 millions candidates that sat for the examination, only 1,792,000 results were released on May 11.
However on the 31st of May 31, 2019, the examination body announced it had cleared 4,536 out of 4,760 withheld results.

According to the board, the release was as a result of the decision of a committee set up to examine the multiple facial identities. It also said that the facial match recognition was carried out by its specialised software and Information Technology experts.
In addition to the release of the results, the board also announced the suspension of the Nigerian Navy Secondary School centre, Abeokuta, Ogun State as a JAMB centre due to “acts not acceptable by the board.”
