Born on the 5th of February, 1980, Nigerian singer, songwriter and actress, Tiwatope Savage, better known as Tiwa Savage started her music career at a very early age.She was born in Ikeja, Lagos State, Nigeria but her family moved to London when she was just 11 years old. Tiwa was a trombone player for her school's orchestra band while still attending high school and graduated with a degree in business administration from the University of Kent.
After her graduation, she started working at the Royal Bank of Scotland and then was doing backup vocals for George Micheal. She also did lent vocals to other musicials such as Chaka Khan, Mary J. Blige, Blu Cantrell, Kelly Clarkson, Ms. Dynamite, Emma Bunton, Andrea Bocelli and many others.
Aside that, Savage has also performed on stage with top artists and rappers such as 50 Cent, Sting, The Black Eyed Peas, Robbie Williams, Eminem and Destiny's Child, just to name but a few.
