Born on the 16th of June, 1996, DNA Twins were born into a polygamous family and had 11 other siblings. They grew up in Owerri, Imo State, Nigeria and had their secondary school education in Madonna Model Secondary School, Owerri, Imo State.Their journey to limelight began in 2013 when they participated in the Glo X-factor competition, just immediately after they left secondary school.
They were the second group to be evicted from the competition immediately after the exit of another group, The SmoothBoiz.
After their eviction from the X-factor, they released their first single, 'Mash Up Freestyle' and it was a combination of some top Nigerian songs, like May D's 'Soundtrack' and Iyanya's 'Your Waist'.
What we can tag a bad news happened in 2016, when the duo were kidnapped and a ransom of ₦6 million was demanded. It was later increased to ₦10 million and then they were released, though there were not any official statements on whether the ransom were paid.
DNA Twins are currently signed to Don Jazzy's MAVIN and have released songs like 'How Can' and 'Adanma' (with Marorkun).
They also joined Don Jazzy, Rema, Korede Bello and Crayon to work on the song, 'All Is In Order'.
