Born in Libreville, Gabon on the 25th of September, 1976, Jim Iyke is the only boy in a family of eight children. He completed his secondary school education in the Federal Government College, Kwali, Abuja and studied Banking and Finance in the University of Jos, Plateau State.Jim Iyke started acting in 2001, and has featured in over 100 movies. He is currently on of the most paid Nollywood actors, and started a Untamed Productions in the year 2007.
He also began his own music label, Untamed Music producing his debut album,'Who Am I' in which he featured some artists such as Sound Sultan and Tuface Idibia.
He is the founder of Jim lyke Foundation for Children with Special Disabilities and visited Kenya in December 2012 in support of the Make a Change Campaign, a charity project founded by Christopher Grey, and Jamaican dancehall artist Cécile.
