Nyekachi Douglas was born on the 28th of May, 1998 in Florida, U.S.A to Nigerian parents. Even though born in the United States, Nyekachi still makes out time to visit Nigeria. She had her primary, secondary and tertiary education in Tampa, Florida.
Nyekachi Douglas discovered her love for modelling while in school and despite her background, represented Rivers state at the 2019 Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MBGN) beauty pageant.

Nyekachi Douglas started as a freelance model before being discovered by a modelling agency. She recorded one of her milestones as she walked for Amalia Probowo at the 2017 New York Fashion Week.
The 21-year-old model also participated at the Arise Fashion Week that held earlier this year where she worked with various brands like Papa Oppong, Lanre DaSilva and Odio Mimonet.

Nyekachi was crowned the MBGN this year as she represented Rivers state at the just concluded beauty pageant. After the contest, which was themed, “Every Woman” and held at the Gabriel Okara Cultural Centre, Bayelsa State, she was rewarded with a brand new car among other gifts.
Nyekachi Douglas represented Nigeria at the just concluded Miss World beauty pageant contest which was held in the United Kingdom. She reached the top five at the Miss World - losing out to Jamaica's Toni-Ann Singh - and gained the title Miss World Africa.
In addition, she became the first Nigerian to reach top five at the Miss World since 2004.
