Chief Pius Okechukwu Ogbuawa better known as Ogbuawa was the Chairman and Managing Director of P.O Ogbuawa and Sons Nigeria Limited.
He hails from Oraeri, Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State.

Chief Ogbuawa began his motorcycle and autoparts business in 1970, just after the civil war and left for Onitsha to learn motor jack repairing, but quit after a few months, and then he travelled to Gome as an apprentice mechanic.
His master insisted he'd be working on Sundays and he also had to leave again. He moved to Port Harcourt and then back to Nnewi to learn motorcycle spare parts, after his friend advised him to leave the Peugeot business he had in mind for motorcycle spare parts which had more potentials.

Ogbuawa came back to Nnewi in the year 1973 to learn motorcycle spare parts business at the Nkwo Triangle market in Anambra State.
His grew in many years to become a household name, and has achieved much success. He was reportedly kidnapped in 2007, and paid a ransom of ₦100 million to secure his release.

Chief Pius Okechukwu Ogbuawa died on the 6th of February, 2020. He had slumped in his house, and was rushed to the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital (NAUTH), Nnewi, where he was admitted into the Accident and Emergency Unit (A and E); there he gave up the ghost at about 8am.
