Florence Ajimobi was born on the 5th of April, 1959 in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria into the Hajaig family of Lebanon. She grew up in Ibadan City, where she also had her early primary and secondary education. For her primary education, she schooled at Bodija International School and thereafter proceeded to Our Lady of Apostles Secondary School, Ibadan.She further gained admission into The Polytechnic, Ibadan, where she graduated with a degree in Secretarial Studies and Management.
Corporate Career and Business
Mrs. Florence Ajimobi upon graduation from The Polytechnic took up a job at Femi-Johnson and Co, a leading Insurance Brokerage Firm in Ibadan as at the time. She further joined Insight Communications Limited, one of the largest advertising agencies in Nigeria and West Africa founded in 1979 by Biodun Shobanjo. Her next job was with RT Briscoe, and international auto sales firm.In 1984, she resigned from her corporate career to venture into business, having registered her company, Grandex in 1982 with the help of her husband.
