His dance moves while holding a Hennessey bottle and wearing expensive clothing created what is known as the “amapiano lifestyle”.

Mabuza died in hospital on Wednesday morning after being admitted to hospital for gout. 

His death was confirmed to TshisaLIVE by his long-time friend and collaborator, Thapelo “Thabza Da DJ” Ranko, who said he was heartbroken by the news. Thapelo  further described him as a 'caring and loving guy who always went out of his way to help everyone have a good time'

Tributes and condolence messages have been pouring in on social media, ever since Papers 707’s death was announced.
