The seasoned journalist, who is a regular panellist on Joy Fm’s news analysis programme newsfile has been on the news for a while now. He is a household name in the country for his role as a social commentator who discusses all manner of political issues. He’s a strong advocate against corruption.
Sometime last month, he filed a defamation suit against Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Mr Kennedy Agyapong. On Friday, 26th June 2020, the lawmaker was slapped with GhC100,000 damages and a cost of GhC30,000 totalling GhC130,000 for making defamatory comments against the seasoned journalist.

• Abdul Malik Kweku Baako Jnr was born on the 7th of July, 1954. • His father, Kofi Baako was a Ghanaian sportsman, teacher and politician who served as Minister for Defence in the Nkrumah government during the First Republic of Ghana until it was overthrown in 1966. He died in 1984.
• Kweku Baako Jnr is a seasoned journalist and social commentator who discusses all manner of political issues. He is currently working as the editor-in-chief of the New Crusading Guide newspaper.
