Philip Anyolo biography
Philip Anyolo is a Kenyan Roman Catholic bishop who is currently serving as the Archbishop of Kisumu, Kenya.
He was born on the 18th of May, 1956 in Tongaren, Bungoma constituency in Kenya. In October 1983, he got ordained as a priest for the Catholic Diocese of Eldoret, Kenya.
In 1995, Anyolo was appointed as the Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Kericho by Pope John Paul II and a year later, ordained as a bishop. 
He served at Kericho until March 2003 when he got another appointment as the Apostolic Administrator of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Homa Bay. This was upon the resignation of Rt. Rev. Linus Okok Okwach who previously handled the position.
On March 2003, Pope John Paul II appointed him as the Bishop of Homa Bay, Kenya, he got installed a month later.
He is also serving as the Chairperson of the Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops.
Philip Anyolo is currently serving as the Archbishop of Kisumu, Kenya, after being appointed on 15th November 2019. He took over from Archbishop Zacchaeus Okoth, who retired after serving for a number of years.
