Tolu Oniru was born on the 6th of July, 1982 in London, the United Kingdom to the famous Oniru Royal family of Lagos State. She had her primary education at Talbot House preparatory school in Bournemouth, UK. After completing her primary education, she came back to Nigeria for her secondary education.
She further relocated back to London where she gained admission to study at the City of Westminster College. She also has a degree in Business and Mass communication from London Metropolitan University.

Career

Toolz is popularly known for hosting 'The Midday Show' on The Beat 99.9 FM. Prior to her settling in Nigeria, she's worked with popular UK companies like Walt Disney Pictures and MTV Europe.

On returning to Nigeria, Toolz auditioned to be a radio presenter at the Beat 99.9FM following a friend’s encouragement to try the new radio station in town. As expected, the audition was successful and Toolz started hosting her own radio show in April 2009.

Apart from 'The Midday Show', she also hosts another popular talk shows named 'The Juice', where she interviews popular African entertainers. A good number of celebrities like Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, Yvonne Nelson, Davido, Rita Dominic plus many others have been featured on the show.

Toolz is also the host of X-Factor West Africa and was part of the judges at the 2011 and 2012 Channel O Music Video Awards.

Personal Life

Toolz got married to Tunde Demuren on the 26th of May, 2016. Tunde's Dad, Harold Demuren was a former Director-General of National Civil Aviation Authority. The wedding which took place in Dubai really made waves.
Everything, from the engagement ring to the introduction was so tush. The duo labelled the white wedding 'TSquared', because both their names starting with a T.
The marriage has been blessed with two children. They welcomed their first child in 2018, and the second in July 2020.
