Dennis Okari Biography And Career

Dennis Okari was born on the 15th of February, in Nyamira, Kenya. After completing his elementary and secondary education, he gained admission to study Journalism at the prestigious Kenya Institute of Mass Communication.

His first job after graduating from the Kenya Institute of Mass Communication was in 2003 when he got a position as an assistant producer, editor and reporter at Metro TV. His days at metro TV helped mould his skills as a young journalist.

During the same period, he also worked as a  researcher and voice over artist at Kenya’s state-owned television station, the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC).

In 2004, he started working as a presenter and producer for TBN Africa (Family Media), a job he did for almost some years before leaving for Standard Group Limited where he worked as a reporter and news anchor.

In 2013, Dennis Okari was hired by Nation Media Group as a senior investigative crime reporter. In addition to this, he is also a multi-platform bilingual reporter on BBC News covering security, governance, and feature stories, a position he got in 2014.

Personal Life

Dennis Okari got married to Naomi Joy in February 2019 at an invite-only ceremony. Naomi works with Bonfire Adventures, one of the most renowned tours and travel firms in Kenya.
Their wedding ceremony was very colourful as Naomi was dressed in white, while her hubby wore a very nice grey suit.
This is not Dennis's first marriage, as he has been previously married to renowned Kenyan TV personality, Betty Kyalo. Their marriage was dissolved over unresolvable issues, relating to infidelity. The duo however still co-parent their baby, Ivanna who is currently in Betty's custody.
