David Ndii is a popular Kenyan author, journalist and economist. He was born in Kiambu, the capital of the Kiambu County, Kenya. He obtained his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the University of Nairobi before travelling to the United Kingdom, where he obtained a PhD. from the prestigious Oxford University.David Ndii has served as NASA Strategist, Economic advisor to the President of Rwanda, Chief economist for Equity Bank, an Economist with the World Bank, and taught at the University of Nairobi. He also co-founded the Institute of Economic Affairs.
He advised the NARC administration on the Economic Recovery Strategy (ERS) credited with the post 2003 recovery of the Kenyan economy. He has also previously served as a Technical advisor on Public finance to the Committee of Experts.
