Belinda Effah was born on the 14th of December, 1989 in Cross Rivers State, Nigeria. She was one of her father's 14 children and had her primary education at Hillside International Nursery and Primary School. After obtaining her First School Leaving Certificate, she enrolled at the Nigerian Navy Secondary School, Port Harcourt for her secondary education.

She further proceeded to the prestigious University of Calabar (UniCal), where she gained admission to study Genetics and Biotechnology.

Entertainment Career

Belinda Effah had always had a passion for arts right from her childhood days. While in the university, she heard of the 'Next Movie Star' audition and got selected after picking the form. While participating in the 'Next Movie Star' helped shoot her to the limelight, Effah debuted as an actor in the TV series, 'Shallow Waters'.

Her first major movie as an actress was 'The Room', an Efik language movie, which aired on DSTV. In 2011, she featured in 'Tales of Eves'.

Effah has also worked with popular Nigerian lifestyle and music channel, Sound City as a TV presenter. She, however, left the station to begin her own TV show titled 'Lunch Break with Belinda'.
