Born on the 8th of August, 1981, Tongayi Arnold Chirisa is a top Zimbabwean actor and he is experienced in films, TV, theatres and an occasional singer.He attended the Lomagundi College and also studied for a Bachelor of Arts in Live Performance at AFDA, The School for the Creative Economy.
Talking about his career, Chirisa played the role of 'Detective Trevor Davies' in the popular Zimbabwean soapie Studio.
He is also a singer and has featured in a good number of music videos. Tongayi recently played the lead role in a comedy feature film 'Mr Bones 2: Back from the Past'. He also made a dramatic appearance in the mini-series Rough directed by British director, Andy Wilson and appeared in an international feature film Skin, directed by Anthony Fabian and co-starring Sam Neill, and then he played a lead in a local drama series Redemption for SABC 1.
