Born on the 5th of June, 1997 in Onitsha, Anambra State, Nigeria, Henry Chukwuemeka Onyekuru is a professional Nigerian footballer. He is playing as a forward for both the Nigerian National Team and Everton.Onyekuru started his football career in the year 2010 with the Aspire Academy, and finished in 2015 joining a partner club, K.A.S Eupen.
He made his debut for the club on the 5th of September, 2015 and it ended in a 2-2 tie against the K.F.C. Dessel Sport in the Belgian Second Division. He also helped the team reach the Belgian First Division A in his debut season, and finished as one of the top scorers in the league.
Onyekuru Henry joined the Everton on the 30th of June, 2017 for £7 million and was loaned to Anderlecht almost immediately. He was handed the number 9 jersey for the 2017-18 campaign.
He scored 10 goals in 28 matches for the Anderlecht but suffered a knee ligament injury in December, which would be requiring a surgery.
He returned back in January 2018, after a full recovery and joined Galatasaray in July 2018 for a loan fee of £700,000 which was paid to Everton.
Talking about his international career, Onyekuru was called up for the Super Eagles camp in May 2017, and made his senior debut for the country in a 3-0 friendly win over Togo on the 1st of June, 2017.
